Underwater Application

Overview

Pressure testing systems for underwater and deep-sea equipment.

For companies that design, manufacture and specify equipment used in and under the sea, Denatec provides test systems that subject equipment to the typical harsh operating conditions encountered in these environments.

  • Cyclic QCDC of electrical and hydraulic connectors with reproduction of sand and silt from the seabed
  • Functionality testing of ROVs and valves
  • API 6A PR2 qualification of subsea valves and connectors at extreme temperatures
  • Fasteners – screw-on, clamped, threaded, segmented, pinned, bayonet and locking
  • Programmable pressure cycles and data logging
  • Hyperbaric testing of pipe assemblies, cable bundles, pressure sensors and sonar equipment
  • IBL, HCP, WA and volumetric loss tests of buoyancy products – macrospheres, syntactic foam, DBM and DRBM)
  • Live electrical testing of subsea power distribution systems
Description

Designed with the customer’s equipment in mind and configured to carefully manage and control each test parameter, these systems meet all required operational and safety requirements.

  • Hyperbaric test chambers and pressure vessels – horizontal, vertical and tiltable
  • Low-alloy steel, high-strength carbon steel, duplex steel, and stainless steel
  • Fully automated pressure and temperature control

All equipment undergoes a full factory acceptance test before being delivered to the customer.

Denatec carries out the positioning, implantation and installation of the equipment before performing a rigorous on-site acceptance test (SAT).

Once the client has given their approval, Denatec provides formal training on the correct and safe operation of the equipment, then issues the final technical documentation and certification upon completion of the training. Written exam programs can also be provided upon request.
