The Combustion Master CS is a high-performance carbon and sulphur analyzer designed to provide precise, reliable results across the entire steel production process- from pig iron to the finished product. With a wide carbon range from 0.1 ppm to 6%, and a low detection limit of 0.1 ppm, it ensures accurate analysis at every stage, including blast furnace, converter, and continuous caster operations. The sulphur range of 0.1 ppm to 30% makes it suitable for all commercial steel grades and raw materials.
Its robust induction furnace allows for the complete digestion of various sample types, making it equally effective for ores and mining products.
Engineered with chemical-resistant components and a built-in metal dust filter, the instrument offers long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance. Ideal for foundries, the Combustion Master CS combines high analytical precision with a heavy-duty design and user-friendly operation, delivering fast and dependable results for casted material

The Combustion Master CS is a high-precision carbon and sulfur analyzer that enables reliable and accurate measurements of carbon and sulfur contents in metals.
The sample is burned in the induction furnace together with accelerators in pure oxygen. The typical combustion temperature is approximately 2200 °C. During combustion, the carbon components are oxidized to CO₂ and the sulphur components to SO₂. Dust and moisture are removed from the combustion gas afterward. The cleaned gas is then directed to the detectors, which determine the concentrations of CO₂ and SO₂ by infrared (IR) absorption. Based on the detected values, the PC calculates the carbon and sulphur concentrations in the sample.
